Saras Veg Food

An amazing restaurant nestled in Sukhumvit that serves some brilliant veg food... Jain, Gujju, South Indian, Bengali, Punjabi, Chinese and Indian street food too... I tried their Undhiyu and Dhokla, Chaats and Chinese, and a Rajasthani roti, a veritable fusion of flavours... all paired with interesting mocktails... and followed by an array of desserts. The service is impeccable and the menu, exhaustive, and you will need several visits to even sample your favorites here. Every dish is prepared the traditional way, the hard way, and it is so evident in every bite. Truly saras chhé!

Sara’s veg is a little place set back inside a soi … it’s a very quaint little place! I brought my dinner group here because we love having Indian food and I want to try that Indian veg food for everyone so of course I attracted all the vegetarian’s in my dinner group! We tried a whole bunch of different things, the Masala Dosa, being the popular, and of course the veg Indian thali! Many of us are quite pleased with the quality of the food here and of course, I know the owner of this restaurant, who is a very sweet gentleman who knows a thing or two about what to serve, and what’s popular, and went to recommend! The staff was very attentive and friendly, and overall the place is a good place to go and eat with a group or even a loan prices are quite reasonable! Sara’s in Bangkok, I’ve dined here for years, The comfort it brings keeps me shifting gears. The service is steady, the flavors on track, Like a college canteen with a loyal throwback. Samoas and kitchari—big, bold, and fair, Some of the best that you’ll find anywhere. The chat is the champ, the true heart of the show, And the sweet counter? The finest I know. But truth must be spoken (I say it with care): The washrooms are aging, there’s mold in the air. A whiff of decay that’s hard to ignore… Yet still—I return. I keep walking through that door. Its good to find vegetarian place in Bangkok & in one of the good tourist area , Sukamvit. We had ordered platter of kebabs, saate ki roti, rumali roti, makhani dal, paneer butter masala & gatte ki sabzi. Rumali roti was really disappointing even by looks. Saate ki roti was average, not like outstanding. It’s good food but I won’t give 5 star as being Marwari restaurant taste could have been more authentic in gatta & rumali. In platter hara bhara kebab was really good. We liked dal, kulcha & paneer butter masala was decent enough.. Good option if you are around in the area.

Absolutely loved dining at Saras! The food was delicious with authentic flavors, served super fast, and the prices are very reasonable for the generous portions. A perfect spot in Sukhumvit if you’re looking for tasty vegetarian Indian food with quick service and great value. Will definitely be coming back.

A very good pure vegetarian option. My mother is demanding and she was impressed with the quality of food (authentic Gujarati thali). Great welcoming service.
